What happens after you submit?
The 30 Squares Team will check your venue against current official trail games. If a current game suits your venue, we’ll contact you with the next steps. If there is no suitable current game, we’ll tell you and keep your details in mind for future official trails.

How official venue trail games work

Official Trail Games are created by the 30 Squares Team. We usually start with an OUTSIDE square near a venue, designed to bring players close to that business while they are completing the trail.

If the venue is a good fit, we invite them to upgrade to an INSIDE square. That means players are encouraged to enter the venue during opening hours to find the answer.

Players are guided around the local area using clues and What3Words.
Outside squares help bring players close to local venues and attractions.
Inside squares encourage players to come through the door.
Beer mats and posters help generate public interest in playing the trail.

What an inside venue receives

We keep the venue involvement simple. You receive the printed materials, display the poster, and choose how players get the answer.

A3 poster

Display the 30 Squares poster somewhere visible so players and customers can see that your venue is part of the trail.

Beer mats

The beer mats help promote the game inside the venue and encourage customers to scan, play and talk about the trail.

Answer sticker

Attach whichever sticker suits your venue to the A3 poster, such as “Ask at Bar”, “Ask Staff”, “Ask at Counter”, or a sticker showing the What3Words answer.

Simple for staff, useful for footfall

There is no complicated setup. Put the poster somewhere visible, attach the most suitable answer sticker, and let players know how to complete the square. That is all the venue needs to be involved.
